About MACDEF
Masindi Child Development Federation (MACDEF) was formed in June 2009 and registered as a non profit making local NGO in 2012. It’s an umbrella of four Community Based Organisations (CBOs) of Masindi Project social services centre in Masindi District and Municipal council, Yelekeni Child and Family project, Tecwaa Child and Family helper project and Bedmot Child and Family project both in Kiryandongo District in Mid Western Uganda.
KEY PROGRAMME STRATEGIES
Early Childhood Education (ECD)
Refers to a comprehensive approach to policies and programmes for children from birth to eight years of age, their parents and caregivers. Its purpose is to protect the child's rights to develop his or her full cognitive, emotional, social and physical potential.
HIV/AIDS and Health
MACDEF has supported the health sector by working with partners in ensuring that there is access to primary health care services in Kiryandongo and Masindi district these include; Infrastructure development and community engagement through dialogues.
